Step 2: Add Meta Description
Meta description is a short description displayed below link in search engine results. In order to add meta description to your post, navigate to the Post>>All Post. Then edit the post for which you want to add a meta description. After that, scroll down to the bottom and click on edit snippet.
You’ll see fields such as SEO title and slug. The SEO title is the clickable headline that is displayed in the search engine page. It is the best place to add the focus keyword. Slug is a user-friendly part present after the domain name in URL. Add meta description on the box. Make sure that description also contains keyword in it. The appearance of a green line indicates that the length of the meta description is optimal while the orange color indicates the opposite of it.
Step 3: Add a Focus Keyword
The focus keyword is a particular word or phrase that describes the content of the page. After you have installed Yoast plugin it’s time to add a focus keyword. Make sure that the keyword is a description of the article are presented in the article itself.
Once again, go to the post>>all post and open the targeted post. Now, scroll down in the Yoast SEO section. You’ll find the focus keyword field right under the snippet preview. Enter the suitable primary keyword in the box. You can also add the related keyword below it.
