What is Gravatar?
In nutshell, Gravatar is a free web service that allows you to create a profile with an image which will be representing you online whenever you interact with websites.
It is a globally recognized avatar that helps to recognize the people with their small profile with an image on the internet. Behind every image that comes next to the name whenever you leave the comments or post on the blog are followed by Gravatar.
WordPress integrates Gravatar and the founder of Gravatar is Matt.
Note: Every WordPress site integrates Gravatar. So once you registered the Gravatar account, the email address matches with WordPress profile information generate the custom Gravatar image while your comments or post on the blog.
How to create a Gravatar account?
Without any further delay let’s move ahead to set the gravatar account step by step:
Step 1: Sign Up the Gravatar account
Go to Gravatar Official website. In the main page, you can see the “Create your own Gravatar” click on it.
Next, the signup page will appear. Add the Email Address, Username, and password and click the “Create your account” to create Gravatar account.
After sign up, check your mailbox. Open the e-mail message of Gravatar and go through the link to confirm your registration.
Step 2: Manage Gravatars
Once you successfully signup with gravatar, you will take into the manage gravatar page. In this section, you can set the email address and pick the image that you want to add the gravatar account. The added email and image will be displayed in the online world.
Step 3: Create a Gravatar Profile
In my profile page, you need to add the information about you such as your first name, last name, full name, display name, location, and a short description.
After finished to add your information, click on the save profile button at the bottom of the page.
There are other several options if you want to add about you. Once you completed adding your information in Gravatar account. Leave a comment on a blog with the registered email address on Gravatar. It looks something like this:
